Role Overview
Bricklayer AI is looking for a Head of Marketing to lead all aspects of marketing with product marketing as the core. This role is equal parts product marketing and growth marketing, serving as a key partner to the CEO, Head of Sales, Head of Customer Success, and Chief Technology Officer in positioning Bricklayer as the leading AI Agent Platform for Security Operations Centers (SOCs).
The ideal candidate has a deep background in cybersecurity (or equivalent technical and unique industry) product marketing, experience working with AI technologies, and thrives in a fast-moving, experimental environment. This is not about running a pre-written playbook – this is about designing, testing, learning, and iterating our way from $1M to $5M ARR in the next year.
Key Responsibilities
Product Marketing
- Define and continuously refine product positioning, messaging, and differentiation in the AI SOC market.
- Build compelling narratives and materials that enable sales and resonate with CISOs, SOC leaders, and security practitioners.
- Partner with Product to ensure every release is launched with maximum customer impact and market visibility.
- Lead competitive analysis and market intelligence to guide go-to-market decisions.
Growth Marketing
- Own the strategy and execution of demand generation programs, including digital campaigns, content marketing, and events.
- Demonstrated ability to source and manage freelancers, consultants, and/or agencies when needed
- Optimize the marketing funnel from awareness to closed deals, working closely with Sales to ensure high-quality pipeline.
- Experiment rapidly with new channels, tactics, and messages to find scalable growth levers.\
- Measure, analyze, and report on campaign performance to drive continuous improvement.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Partner with Sales to equip the team with the right messaging, collateral, and case studies.
- Collaborate with the CEO to build brand presence, thought leadership, and market authority in the AI SOC space.
- Work closely with Customer Success to capture customer stories and amplify product value.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years in cybersecurity or equivalent industry product marketing, product management, or closely related roles.
- Proven track record of marketing cybersecurity products to large enterprises, ideally with SOC-related solutions, including but not limited to targeted account based marketing strategies and working with third party research firms and publications
- Hands-on experience with AI-driven security products or AI-enabled SaaS solutions.
- Strong blend of strategic thinking and tactical execution – equally comfortable in the boardroom and in the marketing automation platform.
- Exceptional ability to craft clear, compelling messages that resonate with technical and executive audiences.
- Strong writing skills preferred
- Experience working in an early-stage, high-growth environment where speed and adaptability are essential.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience scaling ARR from ~$1M to $5M+ in a B2B SaaS environment.
- Deep understanding of the SOC ecosystem, including SIEM, EDR, SOAR, and TIP.
- Strong network within the cybersecurity community.
- Ability to travel 1-3x per quarter
